What Should You Check When a Mission Fails?

Name the Mission and the first thing that went wrong. The answer gives one check, the record facts behind it, its cost, and when to change the diagnosis.

Fix the first Mission failure

  1. Choose the exact Mission shown in Camp.
  2. Choose the first failure: not offered, stalled counter, failed finish, or changed assignment.
  3. Take the Default check while keeping unrelated run choices unchanged.
  4. Use Alternative only when its stated condition matches.

This guide covers the 79 Missions in Full Release 1.0: 15 Main Story, 45 Survivor Stories, and 19 Repeatables. It does not predict the next offer, reconstruct hidden counters, or store completion history. The answer uses only the selected Mission’s listed availability, assigned setup, objective timing, and randomized-assignment fields.

Your next Mission check

Prologos · Main Story · Mission 1 · The Mission was not offered

Default: Open Prologos and confirm that it has no listed prerequisite; do not use its category to predict the next offer.

Reason: Prologos has no listed prerequisite. Its Main Story label does not establish an offer order.

Premise: The selected name is the Mission you expected to see, and you are checking availability rather than an objective counter.

Cost: Checking the listed gate can postpone the run you planned, and it still does not predict which Mission appears next.

Alternative: If the Mission is already assigned, change the failure to counter stalled or finish failed.

Read the answer in order

Default is the next check. Reason names the Mission fields behind it. Premise tells you when that diagnosis applies. Cost states what the check can give up. Alternative tells you when to keep the same Mission and switch to a different failure.

Change one condition at a time. If the answer points to the assigned setup, keep the objective route steady while you correct the Arena, difficulty, mode, or leader. If it points to finish timing, keep the required state through the result instead of changing several parts of the build.

Know what the record proves

Every Mission exposes its listed prerequisites, setup, objectives, evaluation timing, Team Bond, and fixed Cash or Specialization reward. Those fields can tell you what to verify. They do not prove a universal offer cadence, a Main Story priority, or one carry-over rule for every counter.

“Live,” “Run finished,” and “Live and run finished” are stored timing labels. Use the label beside the selected objective to decide when to inspect it. Do not turn that label into a claim about a different Mission or objective family.

For example, Prologos names and includes a finish-timed check. Its answer can point to that exact record and timing without claiming that every Item objective behaves the same way.

Repeatable is also a record label. It does not promise when that Mission will return. Randomized means the usable setup or target comes from the current assignment, so an older offer is not a permanent target list.

Use the right failure

The Mission was not offered

Start with the first listed availability requirement. If there is none, the guide says so and stops short of predicting the next offer. A category name is not evidence of offer order.

The counter did not move

Verify the assigned setup, then read the timing and facts for the objective whose counter stalled. This branch is for a problem seen before the run result; it does not guess whether an unseen value carries between runs.

The run ended but the Mission failed

Verify one specific objective whose stored timing includes the finish; a concrete Item, equipment, or counter condition takes priority over a generic survival line. Preserve the state named by that objective through the result. If the record has no finish-timed objective, use the stalled-counter branch instead of inventing one.

The assignment no longer matches

For a randomized Mission, use the current offer’s setup and targets. For a fixed Mission, confirm the exact Mission and stored setup, then change the failure if those fields still match.

Inspect the exact Mission

Every answer opens the selected record at /missions/. That detail keeps prerequisites, assigned Arena and leader, objective facts, timing, rewards, and owning entity links together. Closing the dialog returns you to the filtered Mission list.

Use the owning page when the record names an Item, Survivor, Weapon, Ability, Badge, Enemy, or Arena. The Mission guide diagnoses the failure; the query page owns the complete entity facts.

FAQ

Why does this guide not predict the next Mission?

The current Mission records do not establish a dependable offer sequence or Main Story priority. The guide checks listed availability without turning eligibility into a prediction.

Does a stalled counter always reset after a run?

No universal carry-over rule is published. Choose the exact Mission and use its stored setup, objective facts, and timing label.

Why did an action count but the Mission fail at the finish?

Choose “The run ended but the Mission failed.” The answer points to one specific finish-timed objective and tells you which state to preserve through evaluation.

Can I track several Missions here?

No. This page answers one failure for one selected Mission. It does not store completion history, counters, route plans, or a second Mission.
